Prime Minister Narendra Modi met two Kuwaiti nationals, Abdullah Al-Baraun and Abdul Latif Al-Nesef, who are famous for translating and publishing Arabic versions of India’s iconic epics. Mahabharata and Ramayana. Modi is currently on a 2-day visit to the Gulf state.

Modi arrived in Kuwait on Saturday, where he was warmly welcomed by the Indian diaspora. He is visiting the Gulf nation at the invitation of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mesal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
“Their energy, love and unbreakable bond with India is truly inspiring. I am grateful for their enthusiasm and proud of their contribution to strengthening the ties between our nations,” Modi said.
During his visit, he will also participate in the opening ceremony of the 26th Arabian Golf Cup in Kuwait.
This is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years. The last time Indira Gandhi made such a visit was in 1981.
