Pawan Kalyan inspected road works, water supply schemes in Penamalur, Gudivada constituencies

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan inspecting the quality of road construction done by the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department at Godavaru in Krishna district on Monday.

Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan on Monday inspected the construction of Kankipadu-Godavaru-Royyuru road in Penamaluru constituency.

He reviewed the quality of road construction. The old road from Kankipadu bus stand to Royyuru via Godavaru was so bad that it was very difficult for common people to even walk there.

The 5 km long road was constructed with funds from the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and SDRF and has a total cost of ₹3 crore. It is expected to be ready for use by Sankranti.

Collector DK Balaji, Penamaluru MLA Bode Prasad and others were present. Mr. Kalyan also supervised the maintenance of a protected water supply scheme at a cost of Rs 3.80 crore in Malayapalem village in Gudivada constituency.

It supplies drinking water to 44 villages. The Rural Water Supply Department has repaired filter beds, pipelines and other equipment in 14 villages. Gudivada MLA Venigandala Ramu and others were present.
