The Australian media targeted Jadeja for his Hindi response to the presser

In a press conference before the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne on Saturday, Ravindra Jadeja was accused by the Australian media of skipping questions in English and answering only in Hindi.

7 News Melbourne, a local media outlet, whose writer had earlier confronted Kohli for not invading his privacy, accused Jadeja of refusing English questions and called the presser ‘weird and cold’.

“The fuse for the blockbuster showdown on Boxing Day has been lit after the Indian cricket team refused to answer reporters’ questions in English. A fresh standoff has erupted after a fiery encounter at Melbourne airport,” the official handle of 7 News said on X.

Also, it has been claimed that Jadeja is replying only in Hindi. India’s media team has said that the conference is for Indian media only, while Australian media have also received invitations.

Meanwhile, Indian journalists denied the truth in the report and called out the Australian media. “Such a rubbish report. I was present at the MCG along with many journalists, Indians and Australians,” wrote Subhayan Chakraborty, senior assistant editor at RevSports at ‘X’.

Meanwhile, in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, the atmosphere has heated up after five matches between India and Australia were tied 1-1. The two teams will face each other on December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
