‘Saroj Khan said I am dancing like Sunny Deol’: Mandira Bedi recalls the experience of shooting the song ‘Nightmare’ with Shah Rukh Khan. Bollywood news

Speaking candidly with Kareena Kapoor on her show What Women Want, Mandira Bedi opens up about her debut film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ). And the experience of filming the song ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakna’ with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. When Kareena asked Mandira why she said that shooting for DDLJ was not fun, Mandira revealed, “Because unlike you, you are so beautiful and beautiful when it comes to songs… I started with the song ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakna’. And I will tell you that if I ever have nightmares, as a grown woman, it’s about two things – a choreographed dance and a math test, that is. They both give me a cold sweat.”

Mandira’s fear of choreographed dance stems from her experience working on a song with renowned choreographer Saroj Khan. “So Saroj (Khan)ji was the choreographer and she said to me, ‘You know something, you’re somebody I know, somebody I know very well. You’re like Sunny Deol. He shrugs. You shrug your shoulders really well but a As a woman and a female actress you need to learn how to shake your hips,’ which I couldn’t do,’ Mandira recalled.

The pressure to master the choreographed moves was daunting for Mandira, who found the experience “terrifying”. “So it was actually quite scary and it still is. I mean it’s like going to one part and then letting off some steam and dancing, as they say, freestyle but when you do a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8… dancing with moves for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. It’s scary, at least for me,” he iconic She admitted highlighting the challenges she faced while shooting the song.
