Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has asked passengers to arrive early in light of the ongoing weekend and Christmas holiday season. Anticipating an increase in the number of passengers, the airport has issued a travel advisory to ensure smooth operations and avoid last-minute hassles.

In a post shared on X, RGIA said “With the holiday season upon us, we expect an increase in traffic. We recommend you plan your journey in advance at the airport and arrive two hours before your flight for domestic and three hours for international departure. Carry all valid documents. And make sure to collaborate with staff for a smooth experience,” read the advice.

In November 2024, the airport recorded its highest ever monthly passenger traffic, crossing the 25-million mark. The monthly traffic report released by GMR Airports Limited revealed that RGIA handled a total of 25.31 lakh passengers during the month.

According to the report, the busiest day for the airport was November 10, when it handled an impressive 89,000 passengers in a single day.
