Launched on August 28, 2014, the central government’s Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana is considered the world’s largest financial inclusion initiative and provides a zero balance account for every unbanked adult in the country. There are 53.14 crore bank accounts under PMJDY by August 2024.
Yadav said that the Legislature, Judiciary and Executive have different responsibilities in running the system and all contribute their expertise to maintain democracy.
“It is easy to take a decision or give an opinion, but its implementation on a large scale is challenging. The efficiency of Indian Administrative Service officers in implementing decisions is admirable,” stressed the MP CM.
