Rapper Honey Singh has cleared the air about rumors that Shah Rukh Khan assaulted him during his US tour, which left him with stitches on his head. In the new documentary Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous, the rapper said the rumors hurt him, as Shah Rukh has shown him nothing but kindness over the years. Honey performed the hit song “Lungi Dance“For the SRK-starrer Chennai Express, and was invited to tour with the star. Even though he was overworked and tired at the time, he agreed to the offer.

In the documentary, Honey says it was the first time she saw anything wrong with her mind. “Now, nine years later, I want to tell you what really happened. Now what I’m going to tell you on camera, no one knows,” Honey said.

He said that he was adamant that he did not want to perform one evening but was forced to do so. To get out of the performance, he shaved his head, and called his family in India. When that failed, Honey said, he hit the cup on his head. That was the reason for the injury and then there were rumors that Shahrukh had attacked her. He said, ‘Someone started a rumor that Shah Rukh Khan slapped me. That man loves me, he will never lay a hand on me.”

“When they took me to Chicago for the show, I said, ‘I don’t want to perform,'” says Honey. I was sure I was going to die during that show. Everyone told me to get ready, but I didn’t. My managers came, and they said, ‘Why aren’t you ready?’ I said ‘I’m not going’. I went to the washroom, got a trimmer, and I shaved my hair. I said, ‘How am I going to perform now?’ They said, ‘Put on the hat and perform’. Honey clung to her chair, and refused to budge. He started shouting that he didn’t want to act. “There was a coffee mug. I picked it up and hit it on my head.”

Honey’s sister said that she was convinced that the incident should bring her back to India immediately. She recalled receiving a phone call from Honey, and told her side of the story through tears. Honey’s parents also became emotional as they remembered their sister’s story while sitting next to her. She said, ‘I was in my room. He texted that something was wrong with me. He said you can come on Skype. And said, ‘please save me, doll please save me’. And then he disconnected. I was trying to meet (his ex-wife) Shalini. She said, ‘He should do this show. You convince him to do this show’. I said I can’t. He told me he was feeling fine and that something bad was happening. They could not be contacted for three hours. Three hours later, I was told he was in the hospital with stitches on his head.
