Two Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of SCR were presented with Railway Minister’s Award on Wednesday in recognition of their outstanding service and exceptional dedication to duty. RPF Secunderabad Post SI T. Nagarjuna Reddy has been awarded the ‘Railway Minister Mahila Ewam Child Protection Medal’ and Head Constable Dudekula Vusenah has been conferred with the ‘Jeevan Raksha Medal’.
Under Mr. Reddy’s leadership, 67 children fell prey to traffickers who exploited them for bonded labor and sexual abuse. Also, his team rescued 187 minor children in need of care and protection through ‘Operation Nanhe Farishte’. Mr Wusenaiah acted with remarkable presence of mind and quick reflexes, rushing to the man who had fallen on the tracks and pulling him to safety even as the train approached, a press release said.
