Quoting reports, he said; “The matter was also discussed in the Cabinet meeting chaired by you this week for about an hour and a half. Additionally, there are various leaks from the Chief Minister’s office to the media, indicating that a case will be filed in this matter and claiming that the Governor has approved it.
Mr. KTR said that instead of closed door discussions, the truth should come out before the four crore people of Telangana through a debate in the state assembly.
He pointed out that the previous government had entered into an agreement with the organizers of the Formula E race with good intentions to benefit the state of Telangana and the city of Hyderabad. The race was successfully held in 2023, earning accolades from all sides.
Mr. KTR pointed out that according to the Nielsen report, the event contributed about βΉ 700 crore to the state’s economy. “When the next edition of the race was planned for 2024, your government unilaterally canceled it soon after coming to power. Since then, as part of your political vendetta, your Congress government has banned this race. A lot of lies are being spread by the media about it, creating unnecessary doubts among the people,β he added.
In fact, the Sutra e-Race contract was completely transparent, and all payments to the organizers were made transparently. βI have already explained this in detail. However, your government has not stopped false propaganda,’ he said.
The people of the state have the right to know the truth. ‘Therefore, I request that the discussion on this matter be started in the Parliament. Let us present all the facts in detail to the people of Telangana through the Vidhan Sabha platform. As the Legislative Assembly session is going on, you can schedule this discussion on a day of your convenience,’ he dared the Chief Minister.
βAgain, I reiterate that there was no irregularity or corruption in the Formula-E race case. This incident which brought harmony to the state and the city of Hyderabad was sacrificed purely because of your political vendetta. Everyone will know the truth through a detailed discussion in the assembly,’ he said.
