The Chennai-born Indian-American was crowned Miss India USA 2024

Washington: Caitlin Sandra Neal, an Indian-American teenager born in Chennai, has been crowned Miss India USA 2024 at the annual pageant held in New Jersey. Caitlin, 19, is a sophomore at the University of California, Davis. “I want to leave a positive lasting impact on my community and focus on women’s empowerment and literacy,” Caitlin was quoted as saying in a media release.

Born in Chennai, India, Caitlin has been living in America for the past 14 years. She wants to become a web designer and also pursue a career in modeling and acting.

In the pageant organized by India Festival Committee (IFC), Sanskrita Sharma from Illinois won the crown of Miss India USA and Arshita Kathapalia from Washington won the crown of Miss Teen India USA.

Rizul Maini, Miss India USA 2023 and Sneha Nambiar, Mrs. India USA 2023 were crowned by Caitlin Sandra Neel and Sanskriti Sharma respectively.

Nirali Desia from Illinois and Manini Patel from New Jersey have been declared the first runner-up and second runner-up in the Miss India USA competition.

Sapna Mishra from Virginia and Chinmayi Ayachit from Connecticut became the first and second runners-up in the Mrs. India USA pageant. Dhriti Patel and Sonali Sharma from Rhode Island were declared first runner-up and second runner-up in the juvenile category.

47 contestants from 25 states participated in three categories of the competition.
