Devotees going to temples to bless their new vehicles is not a new thing, but a rare sight has recently been witnessed at the Kastabhanjan Hanuman Temple in Salangpur area of Botad district. A devotee of Lord Hanuman flew his new helicopter to the Hanuman temple in Salangpur, about 150 km from Ahmedabad, last Saturday. Devotees who had gone for darshan with their families to seek blessings for the new purchase had landed at the helipad of the temple. The temple has two helipads for the devotees who come for darshan. After the ‘vahan pooja’, the owner also circled the temple premises in his chopper, temple officials said.
