Warangal: The BJP will not remain silent and will resist the state government if it allows land grabbers to occupy the Shram Bhawan land at Azam Jahi Mills ground, warned BJP leader Arabelli Pradeep Rao in Warangal on Tuesday.
It is sad that a city businessman with the help of former MLC Konda Muralidhar Rao encroached on Azam Jahi Shramik Bhavan. He said that the building has been used by workers for meetings and gatherings for the past 75 years.
How can Congress leader Muralidhar Rao demolish Shramik Bhavan, which is a symbol of labor solidarity of workers in Warangal city, and lay the foundation stone for the construction of a shopping complex, he questioned.
Konda Murali questioned the actions of those who grabbed the land of the workers’ building during the previous government and joined hands with the same person and participated in the foundation stone program.
Members of the BJP and various labor unions warned that they would intensify the agitation until the state government returned Shramik Bhavan to the workers.
Former city mayor Dr Rajeshwar Rao, former MLA Kondeti Sridhar, BJP leaders Sami Reddy, Rathnam, Satish, Parameshwara, Shankar, Venkat, Naresh, Ranjith and Mahesh were present in the meeting.
