Andhra Pradesh is preparing for another rain. From December 18 to 20, heavy to very heavy rain is likely at isolated places over the three regions of North Coastal AP, South Coastal AP, and Rayalaseema.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low pressure area is present over southwest Bay of Bengal and associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level. In the next two days, it is likely to become more marked and move west-northwestward towards the Tamil Nadu coast. There is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in few places of the country for the next three days.
According to the AP State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA), Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and Anakapalle districts are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rain on Wednesday, December 18, while Srikakulam, Parvatipuram-Manyam, Alluri Sitaram are likely to experience light to moderate rain. Raju, Dr. BR Ambedkar Konsima, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, Nellore, YSR, Annamayya, Chittoor and Tirupati districts.
On Thursday, December 19, heavy to very heavy rain is likely over Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Alluri Sitaram Raju, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalle, Kakinada, and Dr BR Ambedkar Konsim districts, and light to moderate rain over Parvatipuram Manyam, East. Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna and Nellore districts.
