According to a Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official, the bomb threat came from Crescent Public School in Saraswati Vihar in northwest Delhi.
Bomb threats were received by some schools in Delhi on Tuesday, making it the second incident this week and the fifth in nine days in the national capital, officials said.
On Monday, about 20 schools including DPS RK Puram had received threatening emails.
According to a Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official, the bomb threat came from Crescent Public School in Saraswati Vihar in northwest Delhi.
Officials said that although the fire brigade, local police, bomb detection team and dog team personnel have searched, nothing suspicious has been found so far.
A few more schools have also received similar threatening emails and investigations are on, the official added.
However, after reintroducing anti-pollution measures under Phase 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), schools in Delhi-NCR switched to hybrid mode to conduct classes on Tuesday.
Under the revised GRAP schedule, classes 6-9 and 11 in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar under class 4 should be conducted in hybrid mode (physical and online) but students in classes 10 and 12 are required. To attend school in person.
On December 14, eight schools, including one DPS RK Puram, received a similar email, in which the sender threatened to detonate using a “bomb vest”. Earlier, on December 13, around 30 schools received bomb threats via email, prompting a multi-agency search of their premises. At least 44 schools received a similar email on December 9.
The Delhi Police Special Cell had registered an FIR in connection with the threatening mail to 44 schools and started an investigation.
