The Congress has issued a whip for mandatory attendance in the Parliament to submit the Constitution Amendment Bill to hold the elections of the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly simultaneously in the lower house of the Parliament on Tuesday.
Congress Lok Sabha MPs have been issued a three-line whip, making their presence in the House mandatory for Tuesday’s “important proceedings”, sources said.
The party’s Lok Sabha MPs also informed that a meeting will be held at 10:30 AM at the office of the Congress Parliamentary Party to discuss Tuesday’s work.
The Lok Sabha agenda said the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-second Amendment) Bill, 2024, popularly known as the “One Nation, One Election” Bill, would be introduced by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
