Mr. Shah appreciated the Chhattisgarh government’s initiative to dedicate one day every week to the Inspector General’s office to address the grievances of martyrs’ families. He suggested that District Collectors also participate in this initiative, ensuring a more comprehensive support system. “While nothing can ease the pain of losing a loved one, we aim to create mechanisms to ease your pain,” he added.

Interacting with the family, Shah recalled the immense losses they had suffered in this long and painful battle. He said, “The pain of losing a loved one cannot be lessened, but we are firmly with you. The Chhattisgarh government is making efforts to preserve the memory of the martyrs to ensure that their sacrifice lives on eternally.

The Home Minister said that in the past one year, the effect of Naxalism has been significantly reduced and the well-implemented strategy of the government has yielded results by speeding up development activities in a systematic manner.

Elaborating on the overall approach of the state and central governments going forward, Mr. Shah said: “Our efforts are focused on three fronts: encouraging Maoist insurgents to surrender, arresting those involved in violence and responding firmly to those who threaten lives. Those who resort to violence will be dealt with in their own language.” .”
