Vijayawada: Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayan has said that those who were allotted real estate leases in R-5 zone of Amravati will be given their respective areas in Guntur and NTR districts.
The minister assured the farmers that the TD-led government would resolve all the issues of mortgage of their land for construction of the capital.
Narayan inaugurated the free health camp organized by Madala Govardhan Rao Charitable Trust at Niru Konda village in Mangalagiri on Monday.
He said that MGR Trust is providing free healthcare services to the poor. The state government has also been providing free healthcare and treatment services to underprivileged people through NTR Vaidya Seva Yojana.
Narayan said that the previous arrangement did not pay the contractor’s bill. It took 6 months for the new government to solve the problem. The YSRC government claimed that all the contracts with the contractors had been canceled “based on the report of the engineering committee”.
Narayan said that the government is making significant progress in the construction of Amravati. The CRDA authority has approved development works worth Rs 20,000 crore for the capital, and tenders will be floated within five days.
The Minister said that the construction of Amravati will be completed within three years. Officer’s residential complex will be ready within nine months and road construction will be completed within 1.5 years.
He said that the state government would install a statue of former chief minister NT Rama Rao at Neeru Konda village. The project work will start soon.
