A man has thrown the bodies of two newborns into a river

The bodies of two newborn girls were found in the Kummandan Medu bed dam in front of the Cuddalore Collectorate complex on Monday.

Locals found the body wrapped in a cloth, police said. The police found tags tied to the children’s arms, indicating that they were born at the Cuddalore Government General Hospital.

Prabhakaran’s wife Jayapriya gave birth to the babies at Cuddalore GH on Saturday. The infant died within a few hours on Sunday. After completing all the legal procedures, the hospital administration handed over the newborn baby to Prabhakaran. However, he left them tied to the bed, a police official said.

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
