The Transmission Corporation of Telangana (TG-Transco) has won the LDC Excellence Award for its State Load Dispatch Center (SLDC) which has been adjudged the best among the country’s large SLDCs at the National Power System Conference being held at IIT, Indore.
On Saturday in Madhya Pradesh, Central Electricity Authority Chairman Ghanshyam Prasad and Grid India CMD (National Load Dispatch Center) SR Narasimhan, Chairman and Managing Director of Electricity Authority D. Krishna Bhaskar accepted the award.
In a message, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Wickremarka, who is in charge of the Ministry of Power, has congratulated the TG-Trans on receiving the award in the midst of competition from other states. This recognition is due to excellence in the operation of the power system in maintaining the grid with grid-discipline, he said. Principal Secretary (Energy) SK Sultania also appreciated the joint efforts of all power utilities in the state to maintain grid discipline.
Transco officials said the Telangana SLDC bagged the “Best LDC” in the larger SLDC category, which includes Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
Meanwhile, Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has been selected for the Enertia Foundation Award for the company’s contribution to the environment-friendly and sustainable mining and renewable energy sectors in the category of “India’s Best and Most Sustainable Coal Mine Operator with Renewable Energy”. Eclipse”. The company will be presented with the award at an event in Visakhapatnam on December 20.
