After his release from jail on Saturday morning, Allu Arjun briefly addressed the media before returning to his home in Hyderabad, where his family awaited his arrival. Events took a dramatic turn when Arjun was arrested on Friday morning while the police were taking him to the Chanchalguda jail and the interim bail was ordered. Earlier, the lower court had ordered to keep him in judicial custody for 14 days.
The police have registered a case against Arjun, his security team and the management of Sandhya Theater where the stampede took place under Sections 105 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 118(1) Section 3(5). (causing voluntary hurt or grievous hurt) of the Indian Penal Code.
In a press release, the police said that Arjun’s actions led to the unfortunate incident: “He came to the theatre, came out of the sunroof of his car and waved to the people gathered there. This gesture attracted many people towards the main gate of the theatre. At the same time, his personal security escorted people to make way for his car.” His team was informed to take him back citing the huge public gathering, but they did not act on it and Allu Arjun was inside the theater for more than two hours.
The statement further said, ‘It is clear that there was sufficient police deployment, (and) it was his actions that led to this unfortunate incident, in which a woman died and her son is unconscious on a ventilator even after nine days. of the incident.”
