Speaking at the event, Sunny said, ‘The whole country has changed. Businesses have changed. Now there are big contracts, but if someone has to cheat, he cheats. This is how the world has become. Somehow when it becomes business-commercial and corporates come, whoever sits on the chair, they abuse the power and this is the main reason I say.
He added, “When the corporates came, they were not creative people, they didn’t know anything about cinema so things happened the way they did. So the whole taste started to change, the whole cinema started to change. It is not that it was not successful, it has been successful, but as we talk about and watch deeply rooted cinema, the songs we hear now are also the songs of the past. Aaj ke gaane nahi yaad rahte (You don’t remember today’s songs). Somehow this whole world is changing so you can’t blame anything. It’s the way the world is going and you have to go with it.”
Sunny Deol’s career saw a revival last year due to the remarkable success of Ghadar 2.
