Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said it was a “significant achievement” that democracy is flourishing and becoming stronger in a country as diverse as India.

Inaugurating the three-day Rajasthan Investment Summit, the Prime Minister said, “The power of democracy, demography, digital data and distribution are evident in India’s success. In a country as diverse as India, democracy is not only flourishing but also becoming stronger, which in itself is a significant achievement.”

He said, ‘Today the people of India are voting in favor of a stable government through their democratic rights.

Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and top industrialists including Prem Chand Bairwa, Gautam Adani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anand Mahindra, Anil Aggarwal were also present.

Emphasizing the country’s demographic dividend, Modi said, “For many years to come, India will remain one of the youngest countries in the world… To harness this potential, the government is taking a series of strategic decisions.”

Following the mantra of reform-performance-transformation, he said the country has achieved significant growth in all sectors.

Listing his government’s achievements, the Prime Minister said, “In the seven decades since independence, India could become the 11th largest economy in the world. In contrast, in the last 10 years, India has moved from the 10th largest economy to the 5th largest economy. In these 10 years, India has almost doubled the size of its economy. .

“Exports have also almost doubled in the last decade. Foreign direct investment has doubled in the last decade compared to the decade before 2014. Additionally, India has increased its infrastructure spending from around Rs 2 trillion to Rs 11 trillion during this time,” he said.

Underscoring the global uncertainty, the Prime Minister said, “You are all familiar with the challenges associated with global supply and value chains. Today, the world needs an economy that remains strong and operates without interruption even in the face of major crises. This requires establishing a broad manufacturing base in India.

Appreciating the Chief Minister, he said, “People of Rajasthan have given an excellent mandate to the responsive and reformist BJP government here. In a very short period of time, Bhajanlal ji and his entire team have demonstrated remarkable results.

“The state government is also about to complete its first year soon. The efficiency and commitment with which Bhajanlal ji is working for the rapid development of Rajasthan is truly commendable,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister also praised the people of Rajasthan. “Hard work, honesty, determination to achieve even difficult goals, the spirit of prioritizing the nation above all else, and the motivation to do anything for the country – these qualities are inherent in every grain of Rajasthan’s soil,” he said.

“However, after independence, the priority of governments was neither the development of the nation nor the preservation of its heritage, and Rajasthan has borne the brunt of this neglect. But today our government works with the mantra of both ‘Vikas’ (Development) and ‘Virasat’ (Heritage). is doing, and Rajasthan is reaping substantial benefits from it,’ said the Prime Minister.

Chief Minister Sharma said that his government had organized the summit in the first year itself so that all necessary steps could be taken to implement the received investment proposals on time. He said that the state is hosting people from 32 countries in the summit and MoUs worth more than 3.5 lakh crores have been signed before the start of the summit.
