CSIR-UGC NET December 2024 Registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can visit the official website to register — csirnet.nta.ac.in.

Candidates who want to appear in UGC CSIR-NET exam can submit their application forms through online mode, csirnet.nta.ac.in, nta.ac.in. Last date for submission of application form is December 30.

The CSIR UGC NET exam will be held between February 16 and 28. The exam will be held in English and Hindi. Applicants can choose paper medium while applying for the exam.

CSIR-UGC NET 2024: How to Apply

Step 1- Go to the official website of the exam – csirnet.nta.ac.in

Step 2- Click on the available link to fill the application form

Step 3- Click on ‘New Registration’ button

Step 4- Download the CSIR NET information booklet and read the instructions given on the page carefully

Step 5- Click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page and select the ‘Click here to proceed’ button. On clicking the button, the CSIR NET registration form will open on the screen

Step 6- Fill all the details asked in the registration form

The exam duration is three hours and will consist of multiple-choice questions. The exam fee should be paid online using debit or credit card, internet banking, or UPI.

The exam consists of five subjects: Chemistry, Earth Sciences (including atmospheric, oceanic, and planetary sciences), Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

Candidates are advised to submit their application form only once. Under no circumstances will candidates be allowed to fill more than one application form as mentioned in the official notification.

The joint CSIR-UGC NET examination for December 2024 is designed to assess the eligibility of Indian nationals for appointment as Junior Research Fellowships and Assistant Professors, as well as admission to PhD programs in Indian universities and colleges.
