The new visa rules made by Dubai’s immigration department have come as a hindrance to Indian tourists who want to visit the city during the Dubai Shopping Festival from December 8 to December 14. The department last month introduced stricter requirements for those wishing to apply. Tourist visas require tourists to submit hotel booking documents and copies of their return tickets.
Here’s a look at the changes made to the visa rules
Fixed return flight tickets: A tourist must provide a copy of your confirmed return flight ticket to demonstrate your intention to leave Dubai after your visit. Previously, these documents were required only when asked by the airport authorities.
Proof of Residence: A tourist must present a hotel booking confirmation or other proof of accommodation in Dubai.
Financial resources: A traveler shows proof of sufficient funds to cover their expenses during their trip, such as a bank statement or letter of sponsorship.
Submitted by Authorized Travel Agents: Applications for tourist visas can be processed online or through authorized travel agencies. However, visit visas can still be submitted by business companies, individuals, or families. However, the same documentation requirements apply to both visa categories.
