Mumbai:
At the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport here, customs officials seized hydroponic weed worth Rs 14.9 crore from two passengers, an official said on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, authorities intercepted two passengers arriving from Bangkok on Friday and seized 14.9 kg of contraband, the official said.
The 14 packets of narcotics were hidden in the luggage cartons of both, an official said.
The passengers have been arrested under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are underway to find out who they were transporting the contraband to.
