We all have many layers as human beings. I am not only an actor, but also a son, father, brother, husband and a friend. There are many things in my life. How can I be consistent? I also feel that I have been lucky to be acting at this time, especially in the last 10 years. There are many real stories that people have written and seen. So I feel blessed to be a part of this time where relevant stories are being told, and I get to be a part of them. “

Vikrant Massey has had an extraordinary 2023 and 2024, proving his mettle as an artist with excellent performances in 12th Fail and Sector 36. On how the success of 12th Fail was important for him in terms of getting recognition, he said, “The certification industry is in, and I was keen for it. I have always supported myself and continue to do so, but it was very important to me, deep inside me, I had this urge to be validated by many people and not just be labeled an alternative actor. 12th Fell’s commercial success was important to me. Many roles are coming my way, and many producers want to work with me. I wanted that. I am happy, but I also know that it is all very temporary and people change with time. The idea is to keep working on what your biggest passions are and in my case, it’s consistent with what I do as an actor.

Vikrant Messi also told how he faced success or failure in this matter. “My coping mechanism is the same for success and failure. I don’t take myself too seriously. Everything in life is temporary. I’ve seen people change like the seasons in success and failure. I move on too quickly and don’t stay for too long. Same things the same. A quick change can happen the moment you travel back to where you started.
Sharing how he consciously tries to avoid being typecast, Vikrant said, “It happens. Everyone goes through it. I’m seen as the boy next door, but the idea as an actor is to try not to put anyone in a bracket. So I did a film like 12 choseth Fail and sector 36 in a calendar year. It is for me not to get bored with the role I am playing. Finally, most importantly, for the audience to see you in a different light from time to time. You strive for versatility, sometimes you land, sometimes you don’t.”
On a parting note, Vikrant commented, “God is kind, I got more than I asked for. I am truly grateful for that.”
