India vs Australia: Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc has reacted to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s viral comments during the first Test in Perth where the Indian batsman told Australia that he was ‘bowling too slow.’
In the game, Starc cranked up to 141 kmph and beat Jaiswal for pace. Jaiswal followed it up with a textbook backfoot defence, and then exchanged words. Jaiswal told Starc, ‘You are bowling too slow.
βHe didn’t really listen to me saying I bowled too late. I don’t tell people much these days. I may have gone back in the day, but now I keep it up. Played that flick shot and I think I hit the same ball, and he defended it. I said where’s the flick shot, and he laughed at me, and we left it at that,” Starc said in an interview with cricket.com.au.

The Australian bowler also praised Jaiswal, saying he has adapted well to the situation and that the Indian youngster has a bright future.
“He will play a lot of cricket for India and be very successful. Of course, he played really well in that second innings. He adapted to the situation from that first Test. We got him cheap in the first innings and he adapted to it and played a brilliant innings, which Credit goes to him. He is one of the new crop of fearless young cricketers around the world,” Starc said.
Jaiswal, who scored a Test century alongside Virat Kohli, was instrumental in India’s 1-0 lead in the series against Australia in Perth.
