Union Home and Cooperatives Minister Amit Shah is all set to attend at least three public events in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
Shah is scheduled to participate in the 35th anniversary celebrations of Gujarat Public Service Trust, a voluntary organization headed by former Congress leader Rajkumar Gupta. A member of the Congress for 40 years, Gupta resigned from the Gujarat Congress in March 2022, his son and Congress national spokesperson Rohan, who was nominated by the party for the Ahmedabad East Lok Sabha seat, withdrew due to his father’s ill health. Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi will also participate in the program along with Shah.
According to sources, Shah also plans to inaugurate a private hospital on Sindhu Bhavan Road. Sources said that Shah’s stay in the hospital will be short for about 15 minutes.
Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Swaminarayan Sampradaya functionaries of Bochasan residents are also going to participate in the Suvarna Mahotsav at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Shah Motera on Saturday evening. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will attend the event, which will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
