Elon Musk The creator of ChatGPT has been highly criticized OpenAI Deviating from their mission of developing AI for the benefit of humanity and taking the path of profiteering. He has advocated that artificial intelligence (AI) should be accessible to everyone and he has now announced his AI startup. xAI will open the source Grok Chatbot this week.
“This week, @xAI will open source Grok,” Musk said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
In simple terms, open-sourcing software like a chatbot means that software projects are redistributable because all source code is accessible to everyone. One of the benefits of having open source software is that it gives an enterprise the flexibility to have multiple ways of solving a problem rather than waiting for an internal team to provide a solution.
“OpenAI is a lie”
Meanwhile, one user suggested that OpenAI should do the same.
“OpenAI should do the same if they are ‘open’,” the user said. Musk replied, “OpenAI is a lie.”

His words came soon after AI Company Grok, called xAI, released its chatbot, which took four months to build. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman Was quick to dig into it and share the post he made grok With a single prompt in GPT Builder.
“GPTs can save a lot of effort,” he said.
Musk, apparently didn’t like the jab and replied with a lengthy message saying “GPT-4 is as funny as a screendoor on a submarine.”
