On November 2, a top LeT commander identified as Pakistan’s Usman Bhai alias Chhota Waleed was killed after a day-long gunfight in Khanyar area of old Srinagar city.

Two local policemen and two CRPF jawans were injured in the Khanyar gunfight.

Last month, militants killed six workers of an infrastructure project company and a local doctor in Gagangir area of Ganderbal district.

Workers were constructing a tunnel from Gagangir to Sonmarg tourist resort to make Srinagar-Sonmarg an all-weather road and create economic growth and employment in the region.

Six non-local workers and a local doctor from Budgam district were among those killed in the Gagangir attack.

Later, terrorists killed three army soldiers and two porters in Botpathari area of Gulmarg in Baramulla district.

Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha has given clear orders to police and other security forces to go after terrorists, their refugees, sympathizers and underground workers.

A worrisome development for the security forces is the occurrence of terrorist attacks in areas hitherto considered to be terror-free, with a single terror-related incident disrupting the hard-won peace of the security forces, who have made huge sacrifices for the integrity of the country. .

Meanwhile, taking a tough stance, LG Sinha said on Tuesday that the house that harbored the terrorists would be demolished.
