Prof. Mallesham promised reforms for Telangana universities

Hyderabad: The newly elected Vice President of Telangana Gazetted Officers Association (TGOs) Central Executive Body Prof. Gaddam Mallesham on Sunday promised to address the major issues plaguing the universities. He expressed his commitment to take immediate steps to fill vacant teaching positions, raise the retirement age of professors to 65 years and resolve the outstanding medical and pension benefits of university employees.

In his new role, Prof Mallesham emphasized the importance of collective efforts and said university unions across the state would work with TGOs to persuade the government to implement long-delayed reforms.

Pvt. Mallesham has served as President of Telangana All University Teachers’ Association (TAUTA) and Vice-President of Osmania University Teachers’ Association (OUTA), highlighting concerns on faculty and student welfare, equitable resource sharing and employee rights.
