The Directorate of School Education, Haryana has issued a notification that the state government has declared a public holiday in honor of all state offices. Consequently, all schools in the state will remain closed on December 21.
An official notification said, “As per the fax message received from the Chief Secretary, Government of Haryana on December 20, the state has decided to observe 3-day mourning in view of the demise of former Chief Minister Chaudhary Omprakash Chautala. , Haryana 20 December. Haryana Government as a mark of respect to the departed soul, all the states has declared a public holiday in offices. Accordingly, a holiday has been declared in all schools in the state on December 21. All DEOS and DEEOs are requested to ensure compliance with the above orders,” As reported by PTI.
During the mourning period, the national flag will be flown at half-mast on all buildings in the state of Haryana where it is regularly hoisted. All state government functions will be canceled and there will be no official entertainment.
