Hyderabad: Mahindra University has launched its School of Hospitality Management in Hyderabad, offering B.Sc (Hons) in Food and Hospitality Management. The curriculum is designed to blend traditional skills with modern technological developments and focus students on innovation, analysis and sustainability for global careers in hospitality.
Admission for the first session with 30 seats will start in January 2025. There will be a regular intake of 60 students in August 2025. Applicants who have secured 80% marks in 10+2 in all streams can qualify either through NCHMCT JEE score or Mahindra University Hospitality Management Entrance Test-2025 (MUHET 2025), followed by an interview.

The school has established partnerships with world-leading institutions including Virginia Tech, the Swiss Hotel Management School, and the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership. The association with Mahindra Holidays and Club Mahindra will provide students with direct industry exposure.
School of Hospitality Management Dean Chef K. Thirugannasambantham added, “The hospitality industry is rapidly evolving, and to stay ahead of the curve we need to equip our students with a comprehensive skill set that includes technical expertise and strategic thinking. This program is designed to develop culinary skills and cultivate leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices.”
India’s hospitality and culinary sector earns Rs 250 billion annually, contributing 7.5% to the nation’s GDP. The industry driven by domestic and international tourism is expected to create more than one million new jobs by 2033.
