On Tuesday, the makers released the trailer of RRR: Behind and Beyond, a documentary, a big glimpse into life behind the scenes and glimpses of its successful Oscar campaign.
RRR: Behind and Beyond aims to show the effort that went into the Oscar-winning film. The trailer shows the construction of a huge set for the rehearsal where Ram Charan and Jr. NTR practiced the iconic steps of “Natu Natu”. The documentary promises a detailed dive into the magic that took place on set RRR. In the clip, SS Rajamouli says, “I felt like I was shooting with not one, but two tigers. RRR will stay with me for the rest of my life. The video also captures Jr NTR and Rajamouli’s heartwarming friendship, with Taarak fondly referring to Rajamouli as Jakkanna.”

Lauded by Hollywood giants like Steven Spielberg and James Cameron, the magnum opus is still remembered for its mesmerizing VFX, jaw-dropping action sequences, and intriguing story. Jr. NTR and Ram Charanwere complemented by cameos by Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan and Shriya Saran. Not to mention, MM Keeravani’s music elevated the magnificence of the film, with “Natu Natu” creating history by winning the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards. Released on March 25, 2022, the film, which also starred Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris, grossed over 1,200 crores at the worldwide box office.
RRR: Behind and Beyond will hit select theaters on December 20.
