Kakinada:As per his election promise, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has succeeded in upgrading the 30-bed Community Health Center (CHC) at Pithapuram in Kakinada district to a 100-bed area hospital.
The State Government has issued GO No.156 to upgrade the CHC to a 100-bed hospital at a cost of Rs.38.32 crore and create 66 additional posts. It is said that the government will recruit 13 posts through promotion, 7 posts through direct recruitment and 21 posts through contract.
Many patients come to Pithapuram CHC for treatment. But due to lack of health workers and staff, some patients are forced to go to private hospitals. However, now CHC will be upgraded to an area hospital and allocated more staff will help the patients a lot.
