Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner K. Ilambrithi reviewed the construction work of the second-level flyover from Gachiboli to Kondapur at Shilpa Layout on Monday.
During the inspection, the commissioner directed the officials to speed up the land acquisition process for service roads. Addressing the concern that a part of the government school building has been affected by the acquisition, he asked the zonal commissioner to ensure that there is no disruption to the students. He suggested constructing new school buildings through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. He directed the authorities to prepare a proposal for a footover bridge to improve the safety of students crossing the road.
The commissioner emphasized the need for timely completion of the flyover works, which are expected to be completed by March 2025. He assured that the GHMC is following the guidelines of the state government to develop the infrastructure of the city and improve services to the residents.
Project CE Devananda, Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner Upendra Reddy, SE Shankar Naik, DC Mukunda Reddy, EE Harish Naik and Health Officer Rajni Kanth Reddy and others were present during the inspection.
