Two laborers from Bihar were shot dead in Manipur’s Kakching district Bharat News

Two 18-year-old laborers from Vihar were found dead due to bullet wounds in Manipur’s Kakching district on Saturday.

Construction workers Dashrat Kumar and Sunlal Kumar of Rajwahi village in Bihar’s Gopalganj district were shot dead by unknown assailants while returning from work at Wabagai Keithel, police said. The incident took place on NH 137 (A) around 5 pm.

Police rushed the laborers to a private hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.

Both of them stayed at Khunyai Lekai in Kakching near the CPI office and worked under a mason named Prabhu Yadav from Bihar.

Police have registered a case and are yet to ascertain the reason behind the attack.

“Investigations are underway. We are making every effort to nab the culprits,” said a police officer.
