Sources said that the government has postponed the bills related to ‘One Nation One Election’ till completion of financial transactions in the Lok Sabha.
Earlier, two bills – the Constitution (129th Amendment) Bill and the Union Territory Laws (Amendment) Bill – It was listed for introduction in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
Sources in the government said that after the House passed the supplementary demand for the first batch of grants listed for Monday, the bill could be brought this weekend.
In the revised agenda released by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, two bills are not on the agenda for Monday.
However, the government can always bring the legislative agenda in Parliament at the last minute through the ‘Supplementary List of Business’ with the permission of the Lok Sabha Speaker.
According to the procedure, the two bills made regarding the holding of Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections were circulated to the members last week.
The winter session of Parliament is ending on 20th of January.
