After a fire broke out on the second floor of the production studio of Rajshree Entertainment Pvt Ltd on Sunday afternoon, there was panic in the Poonam Chambers building. The building is located opposite Atria Mall in Worli, Mumbai.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the fire broke out around 12 midnight, after which eight fire tenders and six jumbo tankers were dispatched to douse the fire. The fire is classified as Level 2 (moderate), and no injuries have been reported so far.
“The production studio occupies an area of about 13,000 square feet on the second floor of a seven-storey building. Smoke has enveloped the entire building, and due to the glass facade, the trapped smoke cannot escape due to lack of ventilation,” said an MFB official.
Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) officials confirmed that the fire was confined to the second floor, where the REPL office is located.
