Four tribal people were killed and 15 others injured when a tractor-trolley overturned while trying to rescue a buffalo in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district, police said on Sunday.
An official said that the accident took place on Saturday at 10.30 pm in Ghatigaon area.
31 people from the Sahariya tribal community went to the forest of Paikho village to collect herbs.
While they were returning to Ket village, when the tractor trolley overturned at Tilawli Chowk, the driver tried to hit the buffalo, said Jeevanlal Mahor, in-charge of Ghatigaon Police Station.
Officials said that four persons Phoolwati (45), Ramdas (46), Arun (14) and Kasturi Bai (65) died in the incident.
He said that 15 others were injured and are being treated at a hospital in Gwalior.
