Director Sukumar’s action drama Pushpa 2 has become a landmark blockbustercontinues with its extraordinary performance at the box office. The Allu Arjun starrer has earned an impressive Rs 529.45 crore in just four days in India and the worldwide collection has crossed Rs 800 crore.
According to film industry tracker Saknilk, Pushpa 2 earned Rs 141.50 crore in India on Sunday, taking its four-day business to Rs 529.45 crore. Mithri Movie Makers, which produced the movie, had earlier announced that it earned 621 crores worldwide in three days. Released on December 5 in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam languages, ‘Pushpa 2’ is making waves at the box office. The film’s Hindi collection has surpassed its Telugu collection, a remarkable achievement. The film’s four-day total in Hindi stands at Rs 285.7 crore and in Telugu Rs 198.55 crore (net).
The film’s opening day (Thursday, December 5) collection earned Rs 164.25 crore nett, followed by Rs 93.8 crore on its second day (working Friday). However, it bounced strongly on the third day (Saturday), adding Rs 119.25 crore to its kitty. Pushpa 2 earned 141.5 crores on the fourth day on Sunday. Its total collection is Rs 529.45 crore.
Pushpa 2 is also performing well in terms of occupancy. On Sunday, the film had an overall Telugu occupancy of 73.50%, with Hyderabad recording an impressive 79.50% occupancy for 1024 shows. Bengaluru and Chennai saw the highest occupancy rates with 67.50% and 65.75% respectively.
In Hindi, Pushpa 2 had an overall occupancy of 84.25% on Sunday, with Mumbai recording an impressive 88.00% occupancy for 1518 shows. Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) also saw high occupancy rates with 78.25% for 1762 shows.
The first four day box office collections have made Pushpaa 2 the clear leader in the all-time rankings. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan has collected Rs 286.16 crore while Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal has collected Rs 241.43 crore in four days. Other notable films include SRK’s Pathan, with Rs 220 crore; Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, Rs 169.5 crore; and Yash’s KGF 2 with Rs 352.5 crore.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh praised the performance of Pushpa 2, saying it “rewrote history” and “broke every record” in the book. Adarsh said the film has achieved several milestones including becoming the first Hindi film to cross the Rs 70 crore mark on two separate days.
