Man dies after uncle beats him up over property dispute in Bandra Mumbai News

Police have arrested a man and his wife for allegedly killing the former’s 36-year-old nephew in a fight over a property dispute in Bandra on Saturday night.

Accused 56-year-old Habibur Rahman Khan and his second wife Sana Khan, 36-years-old had a fight with Kamran Faizal Rahman Khan, 36-year-old, nephew of rickshaw driver Habibur, over a property dispute near Khoja Cemetery in Bandra (West). Kamran’s sisters Toti and Guddi and nephew Sadiq were also with him.

Kamran lived in Khan House near Galaxy Theatre. Habibur and his second wife Sana Khan also live in the same area. According to police sources, there has been a property dispute between the two families for a long time.

During the fight on Saturday night, Habibur allegedly hit Kamran on the head with a bamboo stick. After this, Kamran fell on the ground. His family members rushed him to Bandra’s Bhabha Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, police said.

The Bandra police were informed about the incident and they registered a case against Habibur and his wife Sana under sections of murder, assault and intimidation and arrested them. Police said that Sana had also beaten Kamran’s nephew Sadiq.

Based on the complaint of 43-year-old Imran Khan, Kamran’s brother, the police have registered a case.

Habibur is a habitual criminal and was earlier booked by the police in five criminal cases of assault and intimidation. The police officer said that the police had taken preventive action twice before.
