Four members of the same family have died due to food poisoning in Rajouri Bharat News

Four members of a family, including three minors, died due to suspected food poisoning in remote Badhal Gorla village of Jammu and Kashmir’s border Rajouri district on Sunday.

The deceased, identified as Fazal Hussain and her three children, 15-year-old Rabia Kausar, 12-year-old Karmana Kausar and 4-year-old Rafter Ahmad, were among the five admitted to the Rajouri Medical College Hospital on Saturday with complaints of severe dyspepsia. The other two were Fazal Hussain’s wife Shamim Akhtar, 38, and his other daughter Ruksar, 12.

As their condition worsened, they were sent to the Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu for special treatment, sources said.

One of them died in Rajouri, while the other three breathed their last in Jammu, sources said.

While Shamim Akhtar and his daughter Ruksar are undergoing treatment, the police have registered a case and started an investigation to find out the cause of death of Fazal Hussain and his three children, said a senior official of the Rajouri district administration.
