Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced plans for a “Youth Leader Dialogue” in Delhi next year, which aims to involve one lakh youth in shaping the future of Indian politics.
Inaugurating the Ramakrishna Mutt in Ahmedabad’s Lekhamba village through video conferencing, he said, “Politics can no longer be left in the hands of posterity.”
Modi said, “As we see youth excelling in technology and other fields, time has come for them to take political leadership. We cannot allow politics to be treated as the feudal property of a select family.”
On January 12, 2025, coinciding with Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, 2,000 selected youth from across the country will be invited to participate. Dialogue of young leaders in Delhi. The program will also engage millions of other youth through digital platforms, focusing on strategies to achieve “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) from a youth perspective.
“There will be a roadmap to induct talented and energetic youth into politics. We are committed to bringing one lakh youth into political roles in the coming years. These people will represent the new face of 21st century India and will be the architects of our future,” said PM Modi.
