Speaking about the iconic dance sequence, a fan asked Rekha, “You played a very good Dandiya in Suhaag. Even though you are a South Indian, you played the Gujarati Dandiya well. I don’t think you are a Gujarati. How did you manage?”

Rekha did not mention Amitabh Bachchan’s name directly but shared her admiration for the actor. She replied. “Ye thought that with whom I was playing Dhandiya, Wo Kya Shak Hai. What are you going to do if you play? Dandiya Aati Ya Na Aati Ho, Samana Aise Adam-Shaks Aa Jata Hai To Khu Hi Every Ankh Angherakh Hai. Kapil said, ‘When we were playing KBC with Bachchan Sahab, my mother was sitting in the front row. He asked, ‘Devi ji, kya kha ke peda kiya (what did you eat before giving birth)?’

Before Kapil could finish, Rekha interjected with a playful revelation, “dal-roti” and Kapil confirmed that this was indeed her mother’s reaction. Rekha then added with a laugh, “Mujhse puchiye na, ek ek samvad yad hai (Ask me anything; I remember every dialogue),” clearly implying that she watches KBC regularly.
