Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim refused to blame his players instead of taking responsibility after his side conceded a third consecutive set of goals against Nottingham Forest after conceding two aways against Arsenal.
All three goals came from corners and Nottingham’s first goal showed the inertia of Manchester United players in their own box. Nikola Milenkovic scored in the second minute after Lisandro Martínez and Matias de Ligt failed to head the ball, while goalkeeper Onana held steady as the ball came in.
“When it happens it’s my fault because I’m responsible.
“We try to do it in a good way – we work a lot in this area and we saw it at Arsenal. It’s really difficult in this respect (to come back), we suffered in the first game, it’s really difficult to put the energy back in the game, but we did it ( by equalizing).
Amorim once again asked to ignore the score and evaluate the performance. The Portuguese manager has made an average start at United with two wins, two losses and one draw.
