West Ham striker Mikel Antonio was involved in a road traffic accident on Saturday, the Premier League club confirmed on social media. The club said that the player’s condition is not clear at the moment and will be updated in time.
“West Ham United can confirm that striker Michael Antonio has been involved in a road traffic accident today. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the club are with Michael, his family and friends at this time. The club will issue an update in due course. Will do,” the London-based club posted on X.
Antonio joined West Ham in 2015 after playing for Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Colchester, Southampton, Cheltenham and Reading. He played 322 games for West Ham and scored 83 goals. He also won the UEFA Conference League with the Hammers in 2023.

Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Southampton, Fulham and Brentford all posted well wishes to the striker in response to West Ham’s original post.
He played 322 games for West Ham and scored 83 goals. He also won the UEFA Conference League with the Hammers in 2023.
West Ham take on Wolverhampton Wanderers next Monday.
