Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday took aim at opposition parties and questioned why those displaying copies of the constitution were silent about the “atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh”.
Adityanath was addressing a program organized on the occasion of Dr BR Ambedkar’s death anniversary in Lucknow.
He reiterated his claim that even those who have been exploiting Dalits as a vote bank for a long time are silent under this pressure.
“Not a single word comes from them because they cannot accept or speak the truth. They do not have the courage to face the reality of what is happening in Bangladesh,” he said.
The chief minister criticized the opposition’s display of only copies of the constitution as “fake”, adding that “they have no real connection with the values of Dr Ambedkar.”
He said that in the past there was an attempt to weaken Dr. Ambedkar’s original constitution. He emphasized that the Preamble is the soul of the Constitution and accused the Congress of removing its meaning. “During the Emergency in 1975, the Congress violated the Constitution and Dr. Ambedkar was insulted. Even today they have continued the same practice,’ he said.
He alleged that the Congress had amended the original preamble to include words which were not part of Dr Ambedkar’s philosophy. He said, ‘It is necessary to expose the real face of those who pretend to save the constitution to the public.
He said, ‘Today Hindus, Buddhists and other minority communities are being targeted by extremists in Bangladesh. They are being burned alive, their property is being looted, their women are being insulted. As long as Jinnah’s spirit lives on, such chaos will continue. The poor and marginalized are being exploited.
He said that this mistake happened to us during the partition of the country in 1947 and its worst form is now seen in Bangladesh. Babasaheb made people aware of this in 1946-47. He said that the country should not be divided. If this happens, an all-out battle will begin, and that battle is what we are witnessing today.
Adityanath has said, ‘Today some people are deceiving the society by spreading lies. He said that Dalits were exploited and oppressed in the past. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar himself wrote an open letter advising Dalits oppressed in the Nizam’s kingdom to leave Maharashtra and not to convert.
or faith.
CM Yogi also pointed out that those who follow Babasaheb’s principles are safe in India today, enjoying the benefits of reservation and government support. He also said that those who were confused by Yogendranath Mandal’s statement are now suffering in Pakistan and Bangladesh and the atrocities they are suffering today is the reality that we all have seen.
