Tripura Chief Minister Manik Shah said he held detailed discussions with Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on potential investment opportunities in the northeastern state.

Sah said Tripura has abundant natural resources that can be used for socio-economic development.

“Meet Reliance Industries Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani Ji and Anant Ambani Ji in Mumbai on Thursday,” the Chief Minister said in a social media post.

He was in Mumbai to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis.

“A detailed discussion was held on various potential investment opportunities in Tripura. I invite them to join the development story of Tripura, which has abundant natural resources, which can be harnessed for the socio-economic development of the state and our nation,” Shah added.

Earlier, the Tripura government signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Tata Technologies Limited on November 20 to upgrade 19 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the state.

The upgradation plan will be implemented within five years.
