A Class 12 student shot dead the principal of his school in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district on Friday afternoon and fled the scene along with his aide on the deceased’s scooter, a police officer said.
Superintendent of Police Agam Jain said that the shooting took place at the entrance of the school toilet at 1:30 pm.
Jain informed that the accused who was a student of the same institution and his accomplice escaped from the spot after shooting at the deceased’s scooter.
In-charge District Education Officer RP Prajapati said that Principal SK Saxena (55) was shot dead when he reached the toilet of Dhamora Government Higher Secondary School, where he had been the principal for five years.
Prajapati said Saxena was shot in the head and died on the spot.
